Married to Christine in 1973 in Stratford’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 4 children and 12 grandchildren later, Brian’s commitment to his family is the nucleus of the warm caring person he is today and Brian naturally displays the same commitment to the families he supports during and after the funeral arrangement process.

Pamela was the youngest child of Brian and Christine Darth born in 1985 at Stratford Hospital. Pamela grew up in the Taranaki area but then went on to move to Auckland and then Hamilton, returning to Taranaki to have her first daughter in 2009. Pamela joined her father at Brian Darth Funeral Services in 2009 to start her own career as a funeral director. Pamela then had another daughter, born with Down Syndrome in 2011. Pamela works closely with her father doing the arranging of funerals.

Wayne is the third child of four siblings, born and bred in Stratford. Wayne is happily married to Bev, played squash for several years before venturing into business purchasing Mooses’s Burger Bar for 10 years. For the last 24 years Wayne has been caring for the elderly at Marire Rest Home which was an incredibly special time for him.

I began my journey in the funeral industry in 2016, working for a renowned funeral home in New Plymouth. In 2018 I gained my Diploma in Embalming, becoming one of the first qualified Maori Embalmers for Taranaki, which is something I am extremely proud of. I decided I wanted to further my skills in the funeral industry and becoming a Funeral Director just seemed to be the next step for me. I’ve been fortunate to be hugely supported by whanau, hapu and Iwi while working in this industry, beyond thankful for this. It’s a special time when you get to work with families who have suffered a loss, it can be incredibly hard for them to manage helping them in any way possible and guiding them throughout the entire process is always my priority. I am married, have 5 children and 2 beautiful grandsons...these are my reason.​
